The children are at the heart of our school and their emotional well-being is key to their learning. Whether pupils join Spurcroft Nursery, start school in Reception, or come later in school life, we welcome and support pupils with strong transition arrangements.

We believe that an early start to school has a very positive impact on the progress that children make and would like to invite applications to our Nursery for 3 & 4 year olds.
Our admission dates for Nursery are as follows:
Children whose 3rd birthday is between the following dates are admitted part time:
1st September and 31st December – admitted in the Spring term, in January
1st January and 31st March – admitted in the Summer term, in April
1st April and 31st August - admitted in the Autumn term, in September.
Admissions into the Nursery (Foundation 1) are the responsibility of the school. To apply for a Nursery place, please contact our school for an admissions form. If Nursery is oversubscribed we follow the School Nursery Admissions policy for allocating places. Children can be placed on a waiting list and parents contacted if spaces become available.

West Berkshire is responsible for the admission of all pupils into school of statutory school age (pupils going into Reception (F2) or Years 1-6). All these applications will be dealt with through the authority.

Parents who need to apply for a school place for the 2018/19 academic year are those with children whose date of birth falls between 1st September 2013 and 31st August 2014. You should apply for a school place by January 2018.
