Would you like to get into teaching?

Are you interested in becoming a teacher? Perhaps you are looking to return to teaching after a gap?

If you are then get in touch. We work closely with Reading University and West Berkshire SCITT (work based training) to provide a variety of routes into the profession and as a growing school we are always on the lookout for good quality staff.

More information about the various routes into teaching can be found below:

  • The Department for Edcuation website can be found here, https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/ and gives lots of useful information on becoming a teacher.
  • West Bershire also operate a School Centred Initial Teacher Training scheme (SCITT) which offers a more practical route into teaching. It is run from the Willows Primary School in Newbury. For more information on this, please click here. You can also download a pdf with more information here.
