Creativity challenge this week
We have two assemblies for you this week.
The first is from David Taylor, the minister at the Baptist Church who comes into school to lead collective worship for us once a term.
The second is from Mrs Stagg and it about Elon Musk. Have you heard of him?
This week, I would love to hear about you being creative! Maybe you could make something special, or invent something new.
Please send me a photo or video.
Summer concert
It should have been the summer concert this week, and many of us are feeling sad that it couldn't go ahead, especially Mrs Stagg, and the parents who would have seen their children perform.
Mrs Stagg's assembly this week was inspired by thoughts of the concert, and the school value of kindness.
You have a choice of challenge this week!
Are you feeling in-doorsy, or out-doorsy? Or both, maybe you like to write outside!
Mrs Millar has found this creative writing competition that you may be interested in:
200th birthday of Florence Nightingale
Mrs Stagg has made another assembly, this time about Florence Nightingale. To celebrate Mrs Stagg's newfound skills, please email me and let me know what new skills you have been developing during the lockdown.
Celebrating VE Day
Friday is the 75th anniversary of VE Day and I would love it if you could all remember this day and celebrate with your families.
Mrs Stagg has created a presentation to help you think and talk about it. Click on the speaker icons to hear Mrs Stagg talk.
Can you learn to do a magic trick?
Here is a video of me trying to do magic!
Why don't you have a go a learning a trick and let me know how you do.
Can you make a map?
This is one of my favourite maps - it shows the secret alleyways in Thatcham.
Why don't you have a go a drawing a map of your travels around Thatcham?
Thank you to Josh N, Ollie N, Emma J, Ernie A, Layla W, Lucas C, Abigail H, Nadia L, Malik G, Leilah G, Lena H, Kai B, Jayden R, Poppy L and Ollie L who were inspired by the walking map and sent me in a photo.
You can pause the slide show to have a longer look at the maps - they are great and I love them!!
